It would probably sound as bad as the radio edit of November Rain

NICE article from the times:

Quote:
2 DOWN Chris Moyles
Rumours stalk the streets that Chris Moyles — self-styled “Saviour of Radio 1” — is to be “let go” from the Breakfast Show next spring, after his recent haemorrhaging of 700,000 listeners. And really, who can blame the station? 700,000 people — gone? Phew-eee. That’s like Moyles bombed Leicester, then dropped anthrax in the reservoirs that feed Hull — but just by saying things that he thinks. Amazing.
But! Wait! What is this? With whom do the corporation plan to replace Moyles? Apparently, it is the 900ft buffoon Vernon Kay — a man about as much use to broadcasting as someone whistling aimlessly, while looking in a drawer for a particular pair of trousers. For Britain, the substitution of Moyles with Kay is like escaping from a ferociously burning building — only to be run over by a fire-engine.

I'd like to see what Aled has to say on this, it's making me a little tetchy. Chris is the only thing holding me to Radio 1 at the moment, since I can get my fill of Scott in the podcasts. Should he go I'll probably go over to XFM in the mornings, or worse, Radio 2...

Don't worry. Unfortunately, the last time I commented on a news story to point out how wrong it was I made it into the paper the next day. Bad times.

A lot of poo is being written at the moment. Chris isn't going anywhere soon so there really isn't much point talking about who would take over when we do leave breakfast.

It's not clear where Vernon's name has come from. Maybe something we're announcing on Monday might explain where the confusion has come from. (And no, it's not an announcement that anyone's leaving!!!!)

Are you making a Vernon related announcement Al? Maybe he's filling in for Chris again for a week? Anyway while your here Aled I'd just like to thank you for taking the time to read this site and contribute in the way you do. It really is appreciated.

I'm on it. Kimberley Walsh is coming in to announce something!!

She has turned Aled into a straight man, and Vernon into a gay man.
