Sony Radio Awards - Great Night For Radio 1 (and Unofficial Mills!)

All evening we've been following the live webcast of the Sony Radio Awards 2006. Scott Mills first picked up a Silver for the Music Programme Award, and then a Gold for Interactive Programme Award. The webcast team noticed we were on board and we became the topic of the backstage webcast. Kevin Greening spoke to Scott about Unofficial Mills and gave us a shout out, discussing the website (cheers Scott!). It was a great night for Radio 1 with Zane Lowe picking up 2 golds and Chris Moyles picking up his gold too. Radio 1 also picked up Station of the Year.

7.40pm: Unofficial Mills got a mention on the live feed, thanks to Marsha
7.52pm: Radio 1's Sex Tour got silver for the Community Award.
7.59pm: Despite Scott winning the listener's poll, Kerrang! 105.2 pick up the Music Programme Award for 'Mornings with Rick Shaw'. Scott Mills received the silver and the hit40uk gets bronze.
8.17pm: In the Station Imaging Award despite Radio 1 again being the listener's favourite, they only got silver. TalkSport picked up Bronze and Kerrang! picked up gold.
8.20pm: Zane Lowe picks up the prize for the Specialist Music Programme Award
8.55pm: Scott Mills talks to Kevin Greening about Unofficial Mills. Has he paid us to listen? Of course not!
9.05pm: Kevin Greening talks about the fansite with Chris Evans
9.40pm: The Sports Programme Award went to Five Live's Fighting Talk with Colin Murray.
9.44pm: The Interactive Programme Award was presented by Donna Air. Scott Mills adds to his Silver Award from the half by picking up Gold. He beat off competition from 606. Scott thanked Laura, Chappers, Neil and Emlyn (written as Emily in the programme).
10.11pm: Chris Moyles also picked up his first Gold, for The Entertainment Award.
10.14pm: Zane Lowe picks up his second Gold award for the Specialist Radio Show, thanking his family and Breaks Coop
10.18pm: Ex-Radio 1 DJ Wes Butters picks up Silver for his breakfast show.
10.25pm: Station of The Year went to the home of Scott Mills - BBC Radio 1.
