Biffy Clyro to play Radio 1's Big Weekend 2007
Last month we informed you that Moor Park, Preston will be the venue for Radio 1's Big Weekend this year, following a news article being leaked before the announcement. Now we can inform you that Biffy Clyro are on the bill.
They may not be confirmed to play Glastonbury yet, but they told NME that they will definitely be playing Preston. "Preston will be excellent. We've played there before but not in the middle of a field," declared vocalist Simon Neil. The event will take place on the 19th and 20th of May, and has a 30,000 people capacity - the biggest free music festival in Europe. This year there will be a third stage, making it bigger than ever, and will kick start the festival season. Last year's line-up included Snow Patrol, Keane, Pink, The Streets, Editors, Muse, Razorlight, Orson, Gnarls Barkley, Primal Scream, Sugababes, The Ordinary Boys and The Kooks. C'mon the Biffy! Stick with Unofficial Mills for all the latest R1BW developments. Last edited by Jono - 17 March 2007 at 14:01 |
