Maidstone chosen over Norwich & Southampton

According to this article -

"Maidstone was chosen from a shortlist with Southampton and Norwich to host this year’s Big Weekend."

What a huge shame for Norwich and Southampton, I'd have had them down as offering more than Maidstone.

How annoying! Southampton is literally the best city ever, why would they choose to not have it here?I could have gone...

I'd like to think perhaps it means Southampton and Norwich has a little more to offer hence why they weren't chosen.
