It seems to me, from your comments, that the Madonna set was crap live, but looked much better on telly. We did notice her miming a bit though...not so good.

It might have appealed more to those who were big fans, and I think it's great they got her in. But as someone who hasn't heard her new album and only knows the classics, it wasn't much fun.

Madonna is what she is...a good musician and brilliant at publicising herself. I think she celebrates music in all its styles so was glad she was at the R1 weekend.

But I spose it must be strange for Edith to effectively see someone of her mums generation headlining the R1 stage!
