The Birthday Project 2007
With the Royal Mail on strike, here's our birthday messages...
With the Royal Mail workers on strike, we weren't sure how to send some birthday wishes. Instead we settled for sending in some more rude names to local radio - but this time with rude locations. Which DJs across BBC Local Radio would fall for believing they had listeners in Wet Beaver Creek and Bumbang? Find out here...
- Luke Deal on BBC Radio Suffolk - He's amused by e-mails from Shag Point and Beaver Crossing, even setting up a phone in.
- Tony Gillham on BBC Radio Norfolk - He's had an e-mail from someone in 'Gisum' in actual Nigeria!
- Bob Ballard on BBC Radio Sheffield - We know how much Chappers loves Bob, so he was top of our list to get a mention from. Would he believe we were e-mailing in from Australia?
- Trisha Cooper on BBC Radio Sheffield - She welcomes our visitor from Meat Camp, North Carolina.
- Keith Middleton on BBC Radio Hereford & Worcester - He believes he has listeners in both Australia and Thailand. God love him.
- Steve Scruton on BBC Radio Essex - Since when was 'semen' pronounced like that?
- Dave Cash on BBC Radio Kent - Give this DJ the sample task of asking him to shout out 'Laura and Chopper' and it gets too much. Never mind, eh, Laurie?
- Paul Hartley on BBC Radio Leeds - He keeps it simple, but apparently the Cock of Arran of is beautiful these days.
- Westenders on BBC Radio Humber - The UM gang are listening to this bizarre 'Westenders' show, and they're as immature as us... Brown Willy... ho ho.
