Scott helps Rachel expose her boyfriend Graham, who claimed to have quit internet dating but was secretly still active on a dating site — and had even been on a date with someone else.
Rachel calls in to report that her boyfriend Graham, whom she’s been seeing for three and a half weeks, has lied about his internet dating habits. When they first got together, he told her he’d given up online dating to be with her, but one of Rachel’s friends discovered his profile still active on a dating website. Rather than confront him directly, Rachel created a fake profile under the name “Paula,” complete with a photo, and sent him messages to test what he’d say. Graham told “Paula” that he wasn’t in a relationship and claimed to have broken up with his girlfriend over three months ago — a clear lie, since he’s been dating Rachel for just over three weeks.
Scott agrees to help by calling Graham under the pretence of being “Mark” from the dating website, claiming there’s been a complaint from Paula about inappropriate behaviour. Graham admits to being in contact with several people on the site in the last month and confesses to having gone on a date with someone last Tuesday. Scott then reveals the truth, putting Rachel on the phone. She confronts Graham angrily, calling him out for his deception and betrayal. Graham is left struggling to respond, unable to adequately explain himself. The call ends with Scott confirming the bust — Graham has been caught red-handed.
