28 June 2007: My Name is Scott — Electrified Karma

Scott faces his past misdeeds in the second instalment of *My Name is Scott*, this time armed with a megaphone, a dog shock collar, and a rainy London street—all to repent for spoiling *The Apprentice* for Matt.

After spending the earlier part of the show unable to book a hotel room in Belgrade for Eurovision and discovering a ten-pound note on the studio ramp, Scott turns his attention to making amends. Matt from the Charlie XCX show has come in seeking revenge for Scott deliberately having Beccy spoil *The Apprentice* finale for him last week. Matt demands punishment, and the show obliges: Scott is wired with a dog shock collar set to level three, armed with a megaphone, and sent onto a rainy central London street with a lengthy list of embarrassing phrases to shout. If he refuses, Beccy—controlling the collar from the studio—can electrocute him. The phrases escalate in absurdity and rudeness, from “My mum and Chappers are in a relationship and I like it” through increasingly crude statements, culminating in Scott being forced to sing *I’m a Little Teapot* in the rain. Throughout, passers-by gather to watch, and Scott takes multiple shocks, with Vernon and Jo Cole egging Beccy on from the warm studio.

Later, Vernon K from *Beat the Star* (the ITV celebrity game show) visits the studio to chat about the German format and plays a game called “Who’s Zoo?” with Scott and Jo Cole, where blindfolded players must identify plastic animals by touch. Vernon also discusses the show’s surprising simplicity—games involving sausages and peas in wine bottles—and shares competitive anecdotes, including Martin the Fire’s aggressive determination to win.
