Elder vs Millennial
Scott returned to the game that compared references recognised instantly by older listeners with the guesses of younger colleagues.
The round included technology sounds, advertising phrases and television themes that had once felt unavoidable.
The younger contestant often recognised the shape or tone of a sound without knowing its original source, placing it instead inside gaming, apps or modern advertising.
Scott explained each answer and added the memories attached to it: dial-up routines, shared family computers, fixed television schedules and products remembered mainly through jingles.
Listeners played along in cars and offices, frequently reporting a complete split between parents and children.
The feature again showed that phrases could survive long after the programmes or adverts that created them had disappeared.
