28 May 2009: Beccy searches for her forte and three people beat her at beatboxing

Beccy’s Forte

Scott argued that everybody had a special talent but Beccy had never found hers.

A beatboxer visited to assess whether vocal percussion might be her “forte”. He demonstrated techniques and listened to Beccy’s attempt before offering encouragement without claiming she was naturally exceptional.

The discussion also mentioned musical-comedy and freestyle performers as examples of people with obvious specialist skills.

Dear Scott

Listeners had asked for the return of the mysterious Biggleswade texter, whose messages contained recurring names and the unexplained words “Doot” and “Munt”. The Posh Radio 4 Lady read a fresh selection.

Another listener said Chappers’ story about a friend chatting up women outside nail bars appeared to have started a new craze.

A further message reported that Scott had appeared as the answer to question 26 in a grandmother’s monthly puzzle book.

Craig and Tashaka supplied a possible final song. Its lyrics placed the cast at the end of the show, celebrating new friends, applause and the completion of the story.

Beccy Wells returned with an improved version of her Oh, What’s Occurring? song after the team had struggled to match the original written score with its words.

Oh, What’s Occurring?

Five people on Stupid Street attempted beatboxing. Three were judged better than Beccy.

A television programme about losing weight was checked for repetitions of the word “fat”.

In the final challenge, Scott called an American business or service and tried to work a series of ridiculous names into the conversation, counting how many the person repeated back to him.
