The Biggleswade texter
The programme returned to the unidentified texter believed to live around Biggleswade, although many messages referred to Barry, Cardiff and South Wales.
The texter’s messages contained recurring people including Bloodwyn and ended with the unexplained words “Doot” or “Munt”.
The Posh Radio 4 Lady read the latest batch in her formal voice.
One message celebrated buying a large amount of Stilton for £2.
Another described camping in Snowdonia and surviving largely on beans.
Bloodwyn had apparently announced that she was leaving, although the messages did not explain where she was going or why.
A man in Barry dug a hole in his garden and then fell into it, becoming the subject of another abrupt family update.
One text simply listed an ordinary day of work, walking home, shopping and preparing tea, but still ended in the usual surreal language.
Scott’s favourite was a knock-knock joke:
“Knock, knock.”
“Who’s there?”
“How should I know? Answer the door.”
It concluded, inevitably, with “Munt” and “Doot”.
