Scott searches for a wedding-reception band
Scott became the entertainment manager for a friend’s wedding reception and set about finding a suitable band. Beyoncé was not on speed dial, so The Baseballs, with their 1950s-style versions of modern pop songs, became a much more realistic possibility.
The wedding planning also brought out a story about Scott’s housemate trying to use a mobile phone as party music, only to learn why that was not a dependable plan. Scott’s reaction supplied another example of his belief that straightforward technology should behave exactly as he imagined.
