Sing What You See and Facebook suit photos

Scott nearly missed the programme after boarding the wrong train on his way back from the Student Radio Awards Conference. Once safely in the studio, he and Beccy discussed her latest internet discovery, Parry Gripp, whose songs literally sang what he saw.

Scott then turned his attention to a social-media trend: men posing in suits for their own Facebook and Twitter profile photos, often visibly holding the camera themselves. He could understand dressing smartly but not the decision to go to that effort without asking somebody else to take the picture.

Sally-May returned to Oh! What’s Occurring?, where the questions included Matt Edmondson’s exhaustive search for Cleopatra and a slow-motion Alan Carr prank call to Radio 1 DJs. The day ended with the same affectionate scrutiny of online habits that had powered the rest of the show.
