It’s Only Bley Friday
Scott returned to It’s Only Bley Friday and tried to establish whether he still remembered how it worked. Bill Turnbull’s BBC Breakfast interview with Tinie Tempah was replayed, including his determined attempts to decide whether the rapper should be addressed as “Tinie” or “Mr Tempah”.
Dev joined Scott while in the middle of an exam break. He explained that he was in Lapland, but the conversation soon moved to the X Factor final, where he was due to report from Cher Lloyd’s hometown in Malvern on both nights. Scott delighted in the prospect of Dev shouting over a room full of ecstatic Cher supporters.
They also revisited the danger of home-shopping television after Dev admitted buying a carpet cleaner while tired during an early-radio shift. Mariah Carey’s repeatedly mentioning her pregnancy on a shopping channel became another talking point.
