Shaun Ryder and the jungle
Scott worried about a height warning printed on his ticket for Lady Gaga’s London concert, imagining he might be placed somewhere perilous above the venue. He then welcomed Shaun Ryder, fresh from I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!, while Shaun’s collaborator Aggro Santos remained at home in bed.
Shaun discussed the reality of the jungle, his wife’s role in persuading him to take part and his complicated relationship with Gillian McKeith. He said she had a good sense of humour but could quickly revert to being “Gillian Gillian”, and dismissed the prospect of doing another reality show with her unless the fee was at least £1m.
He talked through his X Factor opinions, the new Happy Mondays and Black Grape material, and a club remix of “Step On” with Aggro. Scott rang Aggro live to tell him to get out of bed. Dear Scott then heard from supporters in Austria, Brazil and Russia, all claiming to be Scott’s biggest local fan.
