With Christmas Eve approaching, Scott admitted his mind was already checking out for the year. He found an American local-news report about an eleven-year-old given detention for passing gas on a school bus and imagined it being delivered as the lead item on the BBC’s Ten O’Clock News.
The team discussed Christmas hosting and the previous night’s Miranda, while Scott replayed Stupid Street asking people to identify Comedy Dave ahead of his Dancing on Ice appearance. Most did not recognise him, instead proposing names including Julio, Eric, Russell, Gary, Kevin and Roberto.
Scott’s highlight from the Festive Festival was the meat raffle rather than the live acts. The show replayed the event’s meaty announcements and tried to involve performers including James Blake in the prize draw.
