The Edinburgh performance becomes a video
Scott and Chris returned from Edinburgh with Matthew Lewis’s fan-fiction performance completed. Matthew had read the material live, the audience had seen Scott’s full collection of props and the finished video was now online.
Chris had acquired a new wand from the trip and repeatedly activated it in the studio. Scott was pleased with the show but conscious that only a limited account of the night could be repeated at lunchtime. Listeners were directed to the video for the material that the daytime programme could not reproduce.
Cheska receives mineral water and a posh introduction
Cheska Hull from Made in Chelsea arrived for a deliberately upmarket edition of Innuendo Bingo. Scott’s new introduction called it “Posh Innuendo Bingo”, and even the ordinary tap water was replaced with mineral water.
Cheska brought a complete change of clothes, including underwear, and quickly understood why. The clips moved through cookery, sport and familiar BBC voices while Chris tried to maintain the exaggeratedly refined atmosphere.
The game became progressively less dignified. Chris lost control so completely that there was a genuine risk of abandoning the recording while he recovered. Cheska continued, leaving both players soaked despite all the efforts to make this version appear more sophisticated.
Charlie Sloth returns for Fat Tuesday
Charlie Sloth joined the afternoon and supplied another competitive round of Real or No Real. His confidence remained much higher than his score, and the argument about the final total became nearly as involved as the facts themselves.
Scott eventually established that he had won. Charlie continued disputing the written figures while Scott promoted the Edinburgh video again, happy that the Matthew Lewis experiment had survived both the performance and the journey back to London.
