More jobs face the verdict
After an environmental health officer narrowly earns “hot job” status, more listeners ask for rulings. Richard turns wood into bowls, table legs and spindles, while Kerry fits kitchens and bathrooms and enjoys surprising customers who did not expect a woman to arrive.
Both are approved, but the third caller changes the feature. Sarah runs Twisted Fondant in Winchester, a separate x-rated bakery created so her specialist work would not alarm her ordinary cake customers.
Scott loses control of the interview
Sarah’s biggest sellers are male body-part cupcakes. Her entirely practical explanation of waiting for the decorations to become hard enough for customers sends Scott into helpless laughter.
He attempts another question, snorts on national radio and finally gives up, declaring Sarah’s call the best thing of 2016. The timing, accidental innuendo and her calm delivery combine to defeat him more effectively than a prepared comedy item.
Wednesday becomes Bamboleo day
Bamboleo Wednesday provides its regular midweek release as listeners report dancing in cars, kitchens and workplaces. Scott continues treating the song as a necessary public service rather than an old record being played again.
The programme also follows breaking Great British Bake Off developments and returns to the increasingly elaborate hot-jobs criteria. After Sarah’s appearance, however, every later item is competing with a moment that has already claimed Scott’s annual award.
