Proudlock and Boulle return
Oliver Proudlock and Francis Boulle visit as Made in Chelsea begins its twelfth series. Chris remembers being moved away when he tried to approach Proudlock at a nightclub appearance, while Francis’s return to the programme supplies enough relationship complications for Scott’s introduction.
Their three-way Innuendo Bingo with Chris begins more quietly than expected. The guests try to retain their composure until a sword-making explanation about heating metal and removing its impurities finally produces the required spray.
Young Bieber tries to freestyle
A listener uncovers Justin Bieber’s 2010 visit to Tim Westwood, when the teenage singer attempted a lengthy freestyle rap. It starts confidently with references to Atlanta and Canada, but gradually runs out of ideas.
Bieber repeats his name, mentions swine flu and finally admits that he is “just a pop singer”. Scott and Chris hear the confidence of the future star alongside the unmistakable sound of a young performer buying time until the beat ends.
The cake moment lives on
Sarah’s x-rated bakery call from the previous day continues to dominate messages and podcast reactions. Scott replays the line that made him press his best-of-2016 buzzer, immediately losing composure again.
The Bangers contest remains close, although listener statistics are beginning to make song choices harder to repeat unnoticed. Greg James later returns for Real or No Real after enjoying the programme’s recent “rage in the region”.
