Scott has a listener snooping around a mystery celebrity’s house doing painting and decorating work — but the catch is the celebrity herself is listening in the whole time, and she’s about to have some fun with what he’s willing to do.
During the summer holidays, Scott sets up a brilliant prank where Mike, a painter and decorator working at a celebrity’s house, agrees to give a guided tour of the place. Scott and the team gradually persuade Mike to venture further and further — first the kitchen (checking the fridge, opening letters), then upstairs to the bedroom. The twist: Liz McClarnon from Atomic Kitten is actually on the line listening to everything Mike does, and she’s fully in on it.
As Mike explores the bedroom, Scott challenges him to try on clothes he finds there. After some resistance and financial incentive (the offer keeps climbing from £20 to £50), Mike agrees to put on one of Liz’s bras. The moment he’s done it, Scott reveals that Liz has been listening the entire time and wants to speak to him. Mike’s mortification is instant and complete. Liz is surprisingly good-natured about the whole thing, admitting she finds it funny rather than intrusive, though she does insist Scott not “suck him” — meaning don’t make him feel too bad about it.
It’s a perfect example of Scott’s playful, irreverent style: starting with a harmless idea (peek inside a celeb’s house) and escalating it into something genuinely ridiculous and funny, with the celebrity herself in on the joke from the start.
