Oh, What’s Occurring?: Sonisphere special
Scott moved Oh, What’s Occurring? earlier than usual because the team had to catch a train to Edinburgh after he booked the wrong one.
Adam the Rock Show producer had recorded three challenges with bands at Sonisphere.
Mastodon’s extinct mammals
Members of Mastodon had 20 seconds to name extinct mammals.
Their answers were a house cat, an albino tiger, a white whale and Chewbacca. The team checked each suggestion and concluded that none was a valid extinct mammal.
Mastodon therefore scored zero.
Machine Head’s cars
Robb Flynn from Machine Head had 30 seconds to name cars.
His rapid list included Shelby Cobra, Firebird, Camaro, Super Sport, Road Runner, Plymouth Valiant, Toyota 4Runner, Chevrolet Tahoe, Cadillac Escalade, Volkswagen Beetle, Volkswagen Golf, Acura, Ford Pinto, Cadillac and Oldsmobile.
The accepted total was 20. Beccy’s estimate of 17 was closest.
Heaven’s Basement and the champagne cork
Richie from Heaven’s Basement shook a bottle of champagne and named celebrities until the cork popped.
His list included Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, Matthew Perry, David Schwimmer, Matthew Kelly, Mel Gibson, Tom Cruise, Kelly McGillis and Drew Barrymore.
The team particularly enjoyed Matthew Kelly appearing among the Friends cast and Hollywood stars.
Nine names were accepted. Beccy won the special by two points to one before the team left for Edinburgh.
