26 August 2009: Chris Moyles follows the Radio Cymru experiment through Unofficial Mills

Radio Cymru reaction

Chris Moyles discussed the continuing Welsh-language broadcast experiment.

He said English-speaking listeners had remained with the second programme much longer than on the first night.

People on Twitter were still reporting isolated English words more than an hour into the show.

Moyles said the programme functioned in two completely different ways: as an ordinary radio show for Welsh speakers and as unusual entertainment for those who could not understand it.

He referred to Jono from Unofficial Mills tweeting throughout the programme and editing the scattered English words together to create entirely different sentences.

Moyles joked that Jono had far too much time but liked the sound of his work.
