The panna cotta story
Sara Cox was covering the programme and repeatedly teased a major story about panna cotta.
Listeners, including Jono from Unofficial Mills, asked when they would finally hear it. Chappers arrived worried that he had already missed the important revelation.
The actual story was simply that Sara had become obsessed with panna cotta and intended to make one after buying gelatine leaves.
Beccy had assumed the dessert was healthy because it often came with fruit. Sara explained that it was largely cream, milk, sugar and vanilla set with gelatine, with cherry liqueur planned for the topping.
The team discussed other soft foods that could be pushed through gaps in the teeth, including trifle, crème caramel and mashed potato with gravy.

Chappers hosted the game, allowing Sara and Beccy to compete.
Completing Angels
Eight people on Stupid Street heard the beginning of Robbie Williams’ lyric “I’m loving angels…” and had to provide “instead”.
Only two answered correctly.
Wrong continuations included Topshop, “the shirt you’re wearing”, “you baby”, a candy bar and Scooby-Doo’s imaginary sidekick “Diddley Do”.
Sara had guessed three and Beccy one, so Chappers awarded both a point.
Beetroot versus Scott
Chris Cox stood beside a busy road with two handmade signs.
The first read “Beep if you like beetroot”. It received seven recognised beeps, including one cyclist shouting the word rather than using a horn.
The second asked drivers to beep if they liked Scott. Despite more traffic passing, it received only three.
Beetroot was therefore declared more popular than Scott.
Sara Cox’s food count
The final round counted every food or drink reference Sara had made while covering Edith Bowman’s show.
The montage included chocolate, vegetables, ham, eggs, tomatoes, carrots, cheese, red wine, broccoli, Camembert, meat, beetroot, salad, butter, cocktails, bacon, yogurt, watermelon, peanuts, sausages, coconut, mango and numerous other items.
Sara mentioned food or drink 96 times.
Beccy’s estimate of 85 was closer than Sara’s 40, leaving the game tied overall.
