6 October 2009: Matt, estate agent Will and a house-viewing phone saga

Matt and estate agent Will

The programme returned to Matt and an estate agent named Will, whose increasingly awkward calls had become a running story. The humour came from polite professional language colliding with misunderstandings about viewings, access and who was supposed to contact whom.

Scott replayed the exchange in stages, allowing the team to analyse every pause and over-explanation before deciding whether either man genuinely understood what had been arranged.

Google suggestions

Scott demonstrated the automatic suggestions that appeared while typing names and questions into Google. He claimed not to search for himself, although the team immediately doubted him.

The suggestions showed what other people had commonly searched and produced a mixture of flattering, insulting and inexplicable questions about the presenters.

Timmy Trendy

Timmy Trendy returned with another fashion judgement, encouraging the programme to treat an ordinary outfit or accessory as though it were the most important development of the season.
