Is your name in a song?

Listeners contacted the programme with songs that genuinely included their names or could be made to sound as though they did.

Scott and Beccy judged each example by replaying the lyric and deciding whether the name was clear or required too much imagination. Chappers objected when ordinary words were reinterpreted purely because they contained similar sounds.

Stupid Street

Members of the public were asked to name songs containing people’s names, producing obvious answers, half-remembered titles and several confident mistakes.
