Miles from Hell begins in a sewer
Scott began his Sport Relief Miles from Hell challenge by wading a mile through a sewer in East London. He arrived on air having showered but still facing messages that questioned whether any amount of washing could make the experience sound less revolting.
The next day’s task was kept under wraps, while the show continued around him with a repeating-game round of Oh! What’s Occurring? and a selection of extraordinary local American adverts, including one for Butt Drugs. The comedy did not fully disguise Scott’s dread about the remaining miles.
