Isaac and his rapping mum win a place in Edinburgh

He reached the winner’s area and had even mentioned the correct final answer during his deliberations, but ultimately chose wrongly and went home with nothing. The experience only strengthened his appetite for television contests, although he refused to apply for Family Fortunes because he considered his relatives too embarrassing to appear with him.
Radio 1 film reviewer Reanna arrived for Innuendo Bingo wearing a waterproof poncho bought for £1 in Devon. It protected much of her clothing but turned her exposed face into an obvious target as Olympic clips covered athletes getting wet, smashing somebody else’s backyard and shooting in front of one man and a dog. Scott and Grimmy admired Leon’s trick, branded T-shirt and catchphrase, “It’s mental, it’s magic”, but chose Isaac and his rapping mum for the Edinburgh broadcast. They asked the pair to prepare a new and potentially ruder number for the late-night show. In Oh, What’s Occurring?, the team then separated genuine place names from inventions, confirming Fingringhoe, Middelfart, Wapping Cock and East Yorkshire’s Wetwang were all real, while Fingerberry was merely a German biscuit.
