The Chelmsford line-up grows
Scott delivered another major Radio 2 in the Park announcement for Sunday 7 September in Chelmsford.
The line-up included Sophie Ellis-Bextor, David Gray, Louise, Suede, Soul II Soul, Anastacia and Olly Murs, with Def Leppard closing the Sunday.
Scott repeatedly reminded listeners that tickets remained available and tried to turn the event into a picture of the entire Radio 2 family gathered together.
Scott imagines the field
He described OJ Borg in Lycra, Shaun Keaveny in a leather or possibly pleather jacket, Michelle Visage in a vintage Madonna top and Owain Wyn Evans wearing a brooch.
The joke continued into the handover because Vernon felt Scott had captured each presenter with uncomfortable accuracy.
Regular features
The Easiest Quiz and Birthday Game remained part of the morning while listener messages focused on ticket purchases and excitement about the new names.
