26 September 2007: Foam Book Game Returns with Ridiculous Town Names

Scott revives the Foam Book game with a completely new format — instead of calling Americans with amusing names, the team now rings people living in places with hilariously unfortunate town names, including Ball Knob, Big Beaver Boulevard, and Dildo, Tennessee.

This episode features Scott introducing a radical overhaul of the Foam Book game, which previously involved calling Americans with funny surnames. The new version targets people living in towns and cities with genuinely ridiculous names across America. Scott acknowledges the game is designed to test listener maturity, and over the course of several calls, the team speaks to residents in Ball Knob (where a gas station worker confirms the name), a hotel worker on Big Beaver Boulevard (also known as Rude 18), and most memorably, a bed and breakfast owner in Dildo, Tennessee, who helpfully spells out D-I-L-D-O for complete clarity. Each caller is asked about their location and what it would be like to live there, with Scott finding the concept of relocating to Dildo particularly appealing by the end of the segment. The feature generates the expected laughs from the team, with Scott noting that anyone laughing is proving themselves immature — though the game’s entire premise rather depends on it. The episode also includes a brief segment discussing someone’s recent visit to a zoo where they were feeding giraffes, and a reference to a Tom Jones-related flat divert from a previous show.
