Oh, What’s Occurring?
In Oh, What’s Occurring?, Scott set up counting games and public challenges before asking Chappers and Scott’s flatmate to predict the result.
Beccy was absent, so the flatmate took her place.
Chris Moyles as Gary Barlow
The first round concerned Chris Moyles’ impression of Gary Barlow.
Scott played a brief example in which Moyles used the same high, vague voice every time he pretended to be the Take That singer. Both contestants agreed that it sounded nothing like Barlow.
Gary had appeared on Moyles’ breakfast show to discuss the celebrity Comic Relief climb of Mount Kilimanjaro. Scott asked how many times Moyles used the impression during the interview.
Chappers guessed four. The flatmate expected considerably more.
The final montage contained eleven impressions, including Moyles pretending that Gary had called and said: “All right, Barlow?” The flatmate won the point.
Would strangers throw a snowball at Scott?
Heavy snow had affected much of Britain, and Scott went outside with Radio 1 colleague Gemma.
Nine people were asked whether they wanted to throw a snowball at him.
The first person agreed immediately and hit him hard enough for Scott to say it had made him feel “fantastic”. Several others refused, either because they liked him or did not want to take part.
One enthusiastic man asked whether he could hit Scott in the face. Another made an especially large snowball.
A further passer-by said he wanted to throw one but postponed it because a 95-year-old woman had called to say she had almost no milk or bread. He promised to return after delivering supplies.
Five of the nine people threw or agreed to throw a snowball. The flatmate’s estimate was closest, giving him another point.
Dave Pearce: Smell My Finger
The final round revisited Dave Pearce: Smell My Finger, a feature in which Dave dipped a finger into a strongly scented substance and asked people in the Radio 1 studio to identify it by smell.
The substance was curry sauce.
Four people took part. One guessed brown sauce, two correctly identified curry sauce and the final person thought it was barbecue sauce.
Chappers correctly predicted that two people would recognise it, but Scott’s flatmate still won the game overall.
