Guilty celebrity crushes
Scott asked eight people on Stupid Street which celebrity they fancied despite feeling that they probably should not.
Answers included Simon Cowell because of his authority and tight trousers, Chris Moyles because he was funny, Jeremy Clarkson because of his “country-ish” aroma, Judi Dench and Matthew Wright.
Simon Cowell was the most frequently mentioned answer.
Napoleon’s fart count
With Beccy still away, Napoleon the parrot had appeared on Danny Howard’s programme.
Scott asked Chappers to predict how many times the bird said: “I’m going to fart.”
The final montage contained 24 repetitions. Listeners had actively encouraged Napoleon to say it again because the phrase made them laugh.
Beccy and Casualty
Scott connected Beccy with Radio 1 colleague Casualty so that each woman thought the other had phoned.
They exchanged greetings, apologised and tried to establish why they were speaking. Beccy thought Casualty had called about “the dam”, while Casualty insisted her own phone had simply rung.
They remained on the line for 53 seconds.
Afterwards, Scott called Casualty to admit responsibility. She hung up, and Scott later received a deliberately threatening voicemail from somebody claiming to be her father. Casualty then revealed that her father had been acting.
