14 October 2009: Sara Cox’s three-day food montage begins

The archive contains the raw montage used for another of the programme’s recurring Sara Cox food counts.

Jono from Unofficial Mills had listened across three days of Sara’s programmes and extracted every reference he could find to food or drink.

The montage moved rapidly through a double skinny Frappuccino, a Chinese takeaway that had gone wrong, ribs, tartare sauce, goat’s cheese, cupcakes, fried chicken, chicken kebabs, mixed vegetables, tropical fruit, seaweed and Greek food.

Sara also discussed restrictive diets involving no carbohydrates, red meat, dairy or gluten, as well as Mexican food, cheese, curry, Pot Noodle, duck, Chablis and cake stands.

Later references included cherry tomatoes with balsamic dressing, chunks of Cheddar, sweet potatoes, Bolognese, salad, WKD, cauliflower cheese, soup, cabbage, Madeira cake and sausage rolls warmed in the oven.

The montage continued with spinach, salt and pepper, biscuits, mashed potato, sausages and gravy, chicken curry, salmon, KFC, mayonnaise, Nando’s, pork pies, pizza, chips, sandwiches, crème caramel and prawn cocktail.

It ended with pickles, sausages, gravy, cooked meat, beef and Oxo cubes, immediately followed by Sara claiming that she had done well not to mention food.

The separate programme clip on 15 October revealed the final three-day total.
