17 February 2010: Scott Mills goes backstage at the BRIT Awards

Scott Mills goes backstage at the BRIT Awards

Broadcasting backstage at the BRIT Awards, Scott and Beccy described the preparation for the evening’s ceremony. Their area was more luxurious than the previous year’s cupboard-like setup, although it still contained the sofa associated with the Will Young and Danny Howard Daily incident.

Scott was fascinated by the rehearsals, where every camera move and announcement had to be practised even when the celebrities were not there. Crew members stood in for presenters and winners, producing a surreal version of the ceremony in which Nick Knowles was played by a cameraman and “Mini Mouse” won Best British Female.

The show aimed to catch as many arriving artists as possible, with Kesha among the guests expected to contribute from her first BRITs. Scott and Beccy also continued their backstage games and celebrity spotting as the event built towards the live television show.
