Sara continued to assess the national reaction to the royal engagement, admiring the speed with which television channels had apparently assembled programmes about William and Kate. She and Beccy also spotted the Daily Star putting a crown over the “A” in its masthead, a small gesture they decided had taken the paper’s coverage to another level.
Tweet Twho brought social-media material into the programme, while live music from the Radio 1 Teen Awards gave the show some extra momentum. Sara’s week in Scott’s chair was by now a familiar combination of news, gossip and a meticulous appreciation of the least important detail in a newspaper.
