12 August 2016: Margot Robbie defeats Will Smith in Playground Insults

Hollywood finally approves the film

After an extra day’s wait, the Playground Insults film is cleared for broadcast. Listeners describe buying more mobile data and rewatching earlier editions while waiting. Scott insists the delay has increased the anticipation, although some callers remain suspicious until the game actually begins.

Will Smith and Margot Robbie sit face to face and are instructed to exchange childish insults until one of them laughs. Their friendship makes the task harder, because both know where the genuinely sensitive material lies.

Margot goes on the attack

Margot opens by saying Will’s ears could be used as aerials to connect to her mother’s Wi-Fi in Australia. She follows with jokes about needing to Google The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, his appearance in I Am Legend, the misleading nickname “Big Willie” and his age.

Will attempts to answer with references to Margot’s Finding Dory jumper and her mother, but repeatedly laughs or loses momentum. Margot calls him a less attractive version of Barack Obama and says he has the face of a 20-year-old but the hearing of a 90-year-old. Will admits she has caught him on his heels, and Margot is declared the clear winner.

The next rooftop has no clothes

Scott and Chris revisit the hotel’s “unrivalled” rooftop view and find a more dramatic alternative: a naked sun terrace overlooking Parliament Square. With very hot weather forecast, Scott is prepared to consider it if phones are banned.

Chris adds another concern. Even if visitors surrender their phones, drones could still capture the terrace from above. The thought of aerial footage of Scott moving around with a cocktail is enough to make both of them reconsider the plan.
