Three callers, one naked truth
Chris introduced a game he deliberately did not explain to Scott in advance. Three callers claimed to be doing the same thing, but only one was telling the truth. Matt said he was relaxing naked on a day off, Dolly claimed she removed everything after her cat Bruce was sick on her, and hungover Cardiff student Tom said he was unclothed in bed.
Scott and Chris tested their stories with questions, requests to stand up and the suspicious sound of slapped skin. Listeners favoured Tom, especially after his account of a dissertation party produced the phrase “That’s Cardiff for you”. The presenters eventually chose Matt and were correct. Tom was in bed wearing pyjamas, while Dolly really owned Bruce but invented the rest.
Sarah has booked a flight to Paddy
Sarah had met an Irish man called Paddy in Cardiff while watching Wales play Ireland at rugby, spent the night with him and, after two weeks of messages, booked a flight to visit him. Now the trip was real, she worried that she barely remembered what he looked like or what they had in common.
Her mother strongly disapproved, but Scott and Chris urged her to take the flight the following Friday and keep the programme updated.
Naked men before live television
Chris previewed his visit to Japan’s naked-man festival for The World’s Most Extreme Festivals. Radio 1 sent him to join around 10,000 men wearing little more than tightly fitted loincloths.
There was more televised exposure ahead: Scott and Chris were due to perform live Innuendo Bingo with Joel Dommett on BBC One for Comic Relief that evening.
