Tim Minchin
Tim Minchin was Beccy’s choice during a week in which each member of the team attempted to book the best guest.
He discussed performing dark, adult or profane comedy songs on breakfast radio, where most of his established material could not be played unedited.
At the studio piano, Tim demonstrated his style and improvised musical ideas. Scott then asked him to contribute to the Edinburgh production that was rapidly becoming Mills: The Musical.
The conversation produced the first material from an experienced professional songwriter rather than only enthusiastic listener submissions.

The team explained that a theatre had already been booked for three nights in August and that they now needed enough plot and music to fill it.
One proposed story made Scott’s flatmate his secret non-identical twin. The jealous twin would seek revenge through a tanning booth, while Chappers became involved in a romantic complication.
Tim helped explore how the deliberately absurd story might be turned into genuine musical theatre.
Dear Scott
Messages included further musical ideas, reactions to Big Weekend and listeners offering themselves as performers, writers or characters.
Oh, What’s Occurring?
A public-recognition round compared two famous addresses.
People were shown or asked about 10 Downing Street and SpongeBob SquarePants’ pineapple house. Several recognised SpongeBob’s home more readily than the Prime Minister’s official residence.
The game also included further prediction and counting challenges drawn from recent television and the programme.
