Mills: The Musical

The bank-holiday archive contains a focused update on the Edinburgh show.

Craig and Tashaka returned with more original material. One song described a conversation between Scott and a celebrity in which the chemistry gradually became romantic. They rewrote the ending so that the woman proposed marriage.

They also produced a possible opening number for the entire musical.

The lyrics introduced Scott’s appearance, clothes, nails and heels before moving to Beccy as the producer and Chappers as another principal character.

Scott thought the opening had the structure of a real musical number because it established the cast and premise quickly.

The programme promoted the project’s Twitter account, “Mills the Musical”, and asked listeners to continue supplying songs, stories and performance ideas.
