Best Guest Week and Come Dine with Me
The team reviewed a week of guests including Tim Minchin, DJ Talent, the Dolly Rockers and Zoe Salmon before choosing a favourite.
The discussion adopted the scoring and competitive atmosphere of Come Dine with Me, with each person defending their own booking and criticising the others.
Dear Scott
One listener defended Chappers, arguing that he received too much criticism from Scott and Beccy.
Other messages dealt with school-leavers, the week’s guests, the musical and the increasingly elaborate listener submissions.
Mills: The Musical
The theatre was booked for three nights during the second week of August, with roughly 300 tickets to sell each night.
Fifteen-year-old Beccy Wells sent a fully written score for an Oh, What’s Occurring? song, complete with separate musical parts. The team appreciated the professionalism but needed a sung guide to understand exactly how the words fitted.
Morgan submitted a song in which Scott was advised to buy a hat so he might look more masculine and attract women.
Fraser from Unofficial Mills and other listeners sent further numbers, while Craig supplied a song called I’m a Celebrity.
Oh, What’s Occurring?
The first round counted uses of “rocking horse” during The Apprentice, after one team tried to sell a £2,000 wooden horse. The phrase was repeated throughout the task and boardroom discussion.
Scott then approached five strangers and asked for a hug. Four agreed, some offering genuine sympathy because he claimed to be having a bad day.
The final round counted how many times Casualty left her show to use the toilet because of her frequently discussed bladder problems.
