17 June 2009: Lamb doner beats George and Larry Lamb, Andy Murray attacks a whoopee cushion and the Hoff makes 20 noises

Oh, What’s Occurring?

Beccy played alone after David Hasselhoff’s chaotic visit the previous day.

George Lamb, Larry Lamb or lamb doner?

Five people were asked whether they preferred presenter George Lamb, actor Larry Lamb or a lamb doner kebab.

Beccy chose Larry Lamb because she loved his Gavin & Stacey character Mick and wanted a future marriage resembling Mick and Pam’s.

The public preferred the lamb doner. One person said it looked more appetising than either human option, while another found George attractive.

Beccy had predicted the kebab would win and took the point.

Andy Murray’s whoopee-cushion challenge

Andy Murray attempted a challenge previously given to Bear Grylls: inflate a whoopee cushion and sit on it as many times as possible within 30 seconds.

Murray approached the task with competitive seriousness and the attempt was filmed for the Radio 1 website.

The live transcript does not preserve a reliable final count because Scott admitted he had forgotten to check it, but the online video carried the result.

The Hoff’s noises

The final round counted unusual noises made by David Hasselhoff during his previous studio appearance.

The montage included greetings, groans, repeated “uh-oh” sounds and spontaneous exclamations.

The final total was 20. Beccy had predicted 12 but was awarded the game because she was the only studio contestant.
