Actual Kelly Rowland and Beccy’s exhausting comedy night
Scott looked ahead to a hot Big Weekend in Bangor and promised one of the last chances to win VIP tickets. Beccy had been to see Dara Ó Briain but had left early, partly because she feared being picked on by the comedian and partly because she found sustained laughter for an hour and a half unexpectedly exhausting.
Her preferred comedy format involved a few jokes, then a little tragedy to recover between them. Scott was delighted by the logic, particularly after hearing stories of audience members being collectively booed out of gigs for heckling.
The Posh Radio 4 Lady returned with Dear Scott, reading emails including a complaint that the Black Eyed Peas singer seemed to be repeating that he was a bee. Kelly Rowland’s appearance gave the programme its proper pop-star moment, while the team kept the focus on the sillier audience questions and Beccy’s highly selective approach to entertainment.
