Unexpected celebrities at the BBC

Scott encountered Lorraine Kelly in a crowded BBC lift after she called his name from the back. His attempt to move through builders and other passengers for a hug became awkward just as Lorraine needed to leave for an interview on another floor.

Chris’s encounter was even louder. Honey G walked through the Radio 1 office in a red tracksuit and spent long enough in the toilets for the entire room to become aware of her visit. As she passed his desk, Chris called, “When I say Honey, you say G.” Her distracted response was considerably less forceful than it had been on The X Factor.

The Google Game investigates boyfriends

The returning Google Game asked Scott and Chris to complete the phrase “Why does my boyfriend…” with a popular internet search. Scott remembered an ex who slept through conversations and holidays, while Chris suspected his girlfriend might wonder why he always took his phone into the bathroom.

Chris insisted the answer was innocent: he wanted to read BBC Sport. The conversation inevitably became less convincing as they considered the other possibilities people might imagine when a partner repeatedly disappeared with a phone.

Gym Tennis begins

January’s crowded gyms inspired a fitness version of Library Tennis. A pair of callers had to work out at opposite ends of the same gym and exchange increasingly loud grunts, with the first person unwilling to answer losing the rally.

Josh and his girlfriend Gabriella played in Ashford, surrounded by staff and increasingly confused customers. Both began cautiously, then abandoned the pretence of doing meaningful exercise as the noises grew longer and louder. Gabriella produced the decisive extended grunt, leaving Josh to start the car while they escaped the attention they had created.
