Bobby replaces Megan for Bingo
Pete Wicks was meant to play Innuendo Bingo with Megan McKenna, but their latest relationship drama meant Megan was no longer coming. Bobby Norris stepped in, although even he could not provide a clear explanation of Pete and Megan’s current status.
Bobby arrived freshly moisturised and wearing enough aftershave for Scott to smell him before seeing him. His preparation did not help once the clips began. He and Pete faced food, television and animal-related innuendo, and Bobby laughed so hard that he fell from his chair. Pete remained dryly composed beside him.
Kittens go clubbing in the Live Lounge
Radio 1 was focusing on mental wellbeing, and kittens and puppies were visiting the Live Lounge. Scott and Chris decided the kittens deserved something more ambitious than quiet pet therapy and obtained catnip for a full cat rave.
Dance music started, the humans committed themselves to the concept and the kittens responded with considerably less enthusiasm than promised. Listeners suggested the animals might be too young for catnip or that Radio 1 had acquired a weak batch.
The YAS clinic opens
Scott’s constant use of “yas” had spread to listeners, prompting a mock support group for people addicted to saying it. Callers confessed when the habit began, how colleagues reacted and how often an ordinary yes escalated into a full celebratory shout.
Charlie Sloth joined Real or No Real after being introduced through increasingly elaborate jokes. The session produced no cure because every admission was greeted with another “yas”.
