Tea for tradespeople
Scott opened a debate about how often somebody working in a home should be offered tea.
A listener working in a trade argued that one cup every two hours was not enough and told Scott he needed to “up your game”.
The conversation moved into tea strength, biscuits and whether people should be left to work or repeatedly interrupted with hospitality.
John Bishop and Game Changers
John Bishop joined Scott to judge another collection of listener Game Changers.
Each suggestion was presented as a practical improvement, but John wanted to know whether it genuinely saved time or simply transferred the inconvenience elsewhere.
His responses mixed common sense with stories from his own family and touring life.
Scott and Ellie tested the tips against their routines, while John acted as the final judge on whether each one deserved to remain on the list.
The conversation also covered John’s current work and his continuing stand-up career.
His role as judge suited the feature because he was willing to reject a tip immediately when its explanation became more complicated than the original problem.
Elder vs Millennial callback
A reference to the old tea advert “I could do with a D” confused younger members of the team and became another unofficial Elder vs Millennial moment.
Scott promised a fuller return of the feature after discovering that something once widely recognised had disappeared completely from younger colleagues’ memories.

The handover revisited John Bishop’s verdicts and the correct number of cups of tea required to keep a tradesperson happy.
