Get Me to Glastonbury
Scott launched Get Me to Glastonbury, built around helping a listener who had not secured a conventional route into the festival.
The programme explored the practical obstacles: tickets, travel, accommodation, work commitments and the need to arrive with a realistic plan rather than simply appear at the gates.
Listeners offered contacts, advice and stories of unusual ways they had reached the festival in previous years.
Scott treated the campaign as both a logistical challenge and a developing radio story, promising to keep checking whether each new lead genuinely moved the listener closer to Worthy Farm.
Regular features
The Good Morning Minute gathered midweek details, while the Easiest Quiz and Birthday Game maintained the show’s normal structure.
Glastonbury preparation
The programme also began looking ahead to Radio 2’s own festival coverage and the artists Scott hoped to meet.
Messages from experienced festivalgoers supplied advice on packing, waterproofing, meeting points and accepting that plans would change.

The handover reviewed the first progress in the Glastonbury campaign and whether Scott’s listener had any realistic chance of getting inside.
