The Easiest Quiz: Andy and the World Sheep Throwing Championships

Andy from Suffolk introduced himself as the inventor of the World Sheep Throwing Championships.

The event involved throwing a model sheep rather than a live animal, but the title immediately distracted Scott from the quiz itself.

Andy answered questions about snowmen, record players, phones, precious gems and shapes while trying to improve on the week’s existing scores.

His appearance continued the programme’s tradition of discovering extraordinary listener occupations and hobbies through a supposedly simple quiz.

The Lionesses

Members of the England women’s football team joined Scott ahead of the UEFA Women’s Euros.

They discussed tournament preparation, the pressure created by previous success and the difference between club routines and entering an international camp.

The players reflected on the growth of the women’s game and the increasing number of children who now knew the squad by name.

Scott asked about nerves, music, room-mates and the small rituals that made a long tournament feel manageable.

The conversation balanced football detail with the personalities inside the team rather than treating the players only as representatives of a competition.

Dad Jokes

The Lionesses faced a special round of Dad Jokes.

Players delivered deliberately weak jokes and tried not to laugh at their team-mates’ punchlines.

The round became competitive, with each player disputing whether a smile or groan should count as a loss.

Scott acted as referee while also acknowledging that footballers were often more disciplined than celebrity guests when trying to keep a straight face.

The Birthday Game

The 9am Birthday Game followed the football special with another listener selecting from three former number-one songs.

The handover looked ahead to Rylan’s Thursday visit and the continuing Women’s Euros build-up.
