Race Across the World
Contestants from Race Across the World joined Scott after the latest series.
They discussed the practical shock of losing access to smartphones, flights and ordinary travel conveniences while trying to cross large distances on a limited budget.
The conversation covered navigation, finding work, choosing when to spend money and the arguments that emerged when pairs were tired or under pressure.
Scott asked how much of the experience could fit into the television edit and which important moments viewers never saw.
The contestants reflected on the relationships tested by the race and whether reaching checkpoints mattered more than the journey between them.
They also discussed the public response after transmission, when strangers knew the decisions they had made at their lowest moments.
