Home and Away tears, Junior Apprentice and Stupid Street
Scott and Beccy returned to their belief that television would be improved if every programme had a children’s-style theme tune explaining the plot. The idea led naturally to Home and Away, where one listener confessed that its opening music made her weep even though she could not identify the emotional trigger.
The team also considered the intimidating candidates on Junior Apprentice. Scott wondered whether the younger contestants had been given an easier version of the task, only to decide that the experience still sounded terrifying.
Oh! What’s Occurring? sent the team back to Stupid Street, where they asked people about the previous week’s general election. Only two recognised it as the big national event, while the rest suggested birthdays, earthquakes, football scores, Rihanna tickets and friends getting engaged.
