Scott rings Beccy all day and meets a Lady Gaga tribute act
Scott returned from a student event with a new friend, a Lady Gaga tribute performer who had previously worked as a Kylie tribute. He admired her commitment to the costume, her travelling teacup and the challenge of performing “Telephone” alone without a fake Beyoncé.
The team decided that Scott could relaunch himself as a Beyoncé tribute act, with Beccy as another pop star. It was not a convincing plan, but it gave them ample opportunity to attempt the song’s choreography and make the studio increasingly uncomfortable.
Beccy had also made the mistake of ending the previous week by saying she could be called if the show needed her. Scott had tested that promise throughout her day off, phoning with questions about lunch, colleagues and an elephant wearing a zebra’s coat, until she finally admitted the offer had not been entirely sincere.
