Lorraine’s expensive brown bag stops the music
Chris hosted the Advanced Software Awards in Birmingham, where employees recreated music videos in a lip-sync contest before his closing DJ set. The dance floor was full when a man demanded that the lights come up because Lorraine had lost an expensive brown bag.
The announcement cleared the floor and killed the set completely. Lorraine’s bag was eventually discovered on the stage where it had apparently been all along.
The world is running out of music
Listeners continued supplying evidence for Chris’s theory that popular music was exhausting its remaining melodies. The comparisons involved Ed Sheeran and TLC, Imagine Dragons and Gwen Stefani, Mallory Knox and Fall Out Boy.
James TW called about “Ex”, the show’s Tune of the Week, while travelling on the M40 to a Manchester show.
One final warning before Ireland
Sarah was at last flying to Ireland to spend the weekend with Paddy, the man she met once in Cardiff during the rugby. A family friend near Paddy had offered Sarah a spare room if anything went wrong, but had also sent messages that Chris considered suspiciously interested.
Sarah confirmed that Paddy would collect her and that she was definitely boarding the flight. Scott asked her to stay safe and report back during their forthcoming stint on the Breakfast Show.
